Ashta (Meaning Eight) Vinayak (One of the 108 names of Lord Ganesh) temples are scattered all over the state of Maharasthra in the western region of India. It is the most popular pilgrimage to Eight divine Lord Ganesha Temples in Maharashtra.

And, if you are the adventurous type who likes to discover unbeaten paths and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sahyadri mountain ranges.

Jejuri is one of the famous temples in Maharashtra. Popularly known as ' Khandobachi Jejuri ' - it is one of the major Gods in Maharashtra.

Programme

In the early morning, leave for Ashtavinayak darshan. Proceed towards Mahad (90 kms.), arrive Mahad and take a darshan of Varadvinayak. (this idol is Swayambhu (Self-generated) with the trunk of the left.). Further leave for Pali (36 kms. from Mahad and 126 kms. from Mumbai) to take a darshan of Shri Ballaleshwar (the temple faces the east with swayambhu (Self-generated) idol with the trunk to the right) After lunch, leave for Ranjangaon (157 kms. from Pali and 283 kms.) from Mumbai to take a darshan of Mahaganpati (This temple faces the east. The idol is portrayed, seated on a lotus, flanked by his consorts Siddhi & Riddhi. Mahaganpati is believed to have eight, ten or twelve hands). Afterwards arrive at Pune (52 kms. from Ranjangaon and 325 kms. from Mumbai) Night halt at Pune.

After breakfast, visit- Theur (30 kms. from Pune) to take a darshan of Chintamani (This temple faces the north, Swayambhu (Self-generated) idol with the trunk to the left). Thereafter visit- Siddhatek (61 kms. from Theur and 91 kms. from Pune) for Siddhivinayak darshan (this idol is a Swayambhu (Self-generated) idol; with the trunk to the right. The temple faces the north and has the idols of other gods like Vishnu, Shiva and Parvati) Further take a darshan of Mayureshwar at Morgaon (65 kms. from Siddhatek and 156 kms. from Pune) (This temple faces the north, Swayambhu (Self-generated) idol with the serpent above the head. The temple has eight Ganesha idols in eight corners) You can also visit Jejuri (17 kms. from Morgaon and 173 kms. from Pune) for Khandoba darshan. Return to Pune (50 kms. from Jejuri). Night halt at Pune.

After breakfast, visit- Lenyadri (98 kms. from Pune) and take a darshan of Girijatmaj (this temple is on the hill, which has 283 steps, the hill is full of caves). Further visit- Ozar (14 kms. from Lenyadri and 112 kms. from Pune) to take a darshan of Vighnahar, the Swayambhu (Self-generated) idol with the trunk to the left. The temple faces the east and has several idols. Thereafter leave for Mumbai (145 kms. from Ozar and 280 kms. from Pune) via- Malshej Ghat- Murbad, Kalyan and Thane. Arrive Mumbai and tour ends
